I try not to bring politics into my business as I do not wish to exclude people, or make people feel uncomfortable. We are all different and I celebrate diversity, however in this instance, I’m sorry to say this but I have taken the difficult decision to stop shipping to the EU.
I have had too many problems since January with parcels going missing, or being held in customs for an extraordinary length of time by which point I have either refunded or sent a replacement, only for the items to them turn up and be hit with extreme import and duty charges (in some cases more than 100% of the value of the items!). This is just not sustainable so, until I can work out a solution that is affordable to both my customers and my business I’m afraid I have no choice. I know of several small businesses who are in the same position and it just seems so wrong, but here we are ?
To my lovely EU customers, if you are ever in the UK perhaps you could visit me – you will always be welcome.
