Grease Is The Word shawl is a simple garter stitch summer shawl/scarf made with 2 skeins of Queen Silk Lace Firstly, I must mention that this wouldn’t have been possible without the awesome Touch Me pattern by Michelle from The Loveliest Yarn Company who has very kindly let me use her pattern as a starting point. I have made a few changes, but I will not be selling the pattern – it is only available as part of this kit…
The Queen Silk Lace colours in the kit are You’re The One That I Want, rainbow speckles, and Sandra-Dee a vibrant bright pink with a hint of orange. It is actually slightly pinker than the sample, and is what I was trying to achieve when I dyed the first lot. Both colourways are currently only available in this kit.
Grease was my favourite film when I was a child and I think I know the whole film off by heart. I still love watching it, even though it’s a bit dated (and obviously actors in the 20s playing teenagers but hey…) I am trying to get my son to watch it but so far he’s not interested. He can’t bear to watch anything with kissing in!!
