Description
A gorgeous blend of merino, silk and yak in a sock yarn. This yarn is a much darker natural base, and hence absorbs colours to give a gorgeously rich and deep result. It is also unbelievably soft – I can’t wait to make something with it!

Thinking up names for all of my colourways never seemed to do them justice. As I love music almost as much as colour it seemed that a good and never-ending source of inspiration would be to name them after some of my favourite tracks… I have used a couple of my existing colourways on this base – Space Oddity and Chasing Rainbows.
A few things to bear in mind when using hand dyed yarn:
- No two skeins are ever the same, even if they have been dyed in the same pot. If consistency is important I strongly recommend you knit with two skeins and alternate every other row, particularly on larger projects.
- Whilst every effort has been taken to ensure colour-fastness, there is a chance that some residual dye may remain (this is normal – think jeans…) I suggest hand washing all garments in cool water prior to being worn and keep bright colours separate.
- It is not possible to work directly from a skein/hank. It must be wound into a ball before use, or will get into a terrible tangle. For more information on how to do this there are hundreds of videos on YouTube. Alternatively for a small fee I can do it for you here.
