?SUPPORTING THE NHS – Dyed to Order?
You can read more about this colourway and why I wanted to create a charity yarn on my blog post, but I wanted to do my bit to support the NHS, and if a 99 year old man can raise £27+million then this is the least I can do…
I am giving 50% of the cost of this colourway to support the NHS. Available in a lace weight, a 4ply, a DK and an aran, I will dye it to order, and have set a limit for now at 100 (which is roughly £1000 donation). Turnaround will be approx 2-3 weeks, but might be quicker…
A few things to bear in mind when using hand dyed yarn:
- No two skeins are ever the same, even if they have been dyed in the same pot. If consistency is important and/or to prevent colour pooling I strongly recommend you knit with two skeins and alternate every other row, particularly on larger projects.
- Whilst every effort has been taken to ensure colour-fastness, there is a chance that some residual dye may remain (this is normal – think jeans…) I suggest hand washing all garments in cool water prior to being worn and keep bright colours separate.
- It is not possible to work directly from a skein/hank. It must be wound into a ball before use, or will get into a terrible tangle. For more information on how to do this there are hundreds of videos on YouTube. Alternatively for a small fee I can do it for you here.
It should go without saying but please do not use voucher codes on this yarn. I can’t edit all of the voucher codes, as there are so many outstanding. If you are buying this yarn with other yarns and are using a voucher code, please checkout separately for this yarn and I will refund the excess postage.
