Yak Sock
£20.00
Very similar to Mulberino Yak, this is a darker based yarn that is 70% Superwash Merino, 20% Yak and 10% Nylon which gives it that extra strength needed for socks. It’s a gorgeously soft yarn and I whilst I will dye other colourways, I have repeated some of the colours of Mulberino Yak because they have been so popular.

As with all my yarns, if you want a larger quantity or want to try another colourway on this base please checkout our Bespoke Yarn option.
Thinking up names for all of my colourways never seemed to do them justice. As I love music almost as much as colour it seemed that a good and never-ending source of inspiration would be to name them after some of my favourite tracks... I have used a couple of my existing colourways on this base - Space Oddity and Chasing Rainbows.
A few things to bear in mind when using hand dyed yarn:
- No two skeins are ever the same, even if they have been dyed in the same pot. If consistency is important I strongly recommend you knit with two skeins and alternate every other row, particularly on larger projects.
- Whilst every effort has been taken to ensure colour-fastness, there is a chance that some residual dye may remain (this is normal - think jeans...) I suggest hand washing all garments in cool water prior to being worn and keep bright colours separate.
- It is not possible to work directly from a skein/hank. It must be wound into a ball before use, or will get into a terrible tangle. For more information on how to do this there are hundreds of videos on YouTube. Alternatively for a small fee I can do it for you here.

I’ve made a small shawl for a friend in KarmaComa because I know she loves natural earthy colours. The photo doesn’t do this yarn justice….. the colours are gorgeous. The feel is divine, it drapes beautifully and oozes luxury.
