I have just found out that my shiny new website which I have spent the last month developing does not allow customer credit!!! This is a royal pain as I have added credit to so many of my customers accounts… I also think this is an important part of my customer service, so I have had to buy an extension which allows a rewards system and I can control the number of points each product earns. I think this is something my customers will love – actually being able to see how they can save and collect, and will also give me a great opportunity for additional special offers – i.e. get double reward points on xxx for this week only… So, in the long run this will be more beneficial than simply adding credit to a customers account… (she said trying to convince herself that €50 will be worth it!). Still it is all about the customer…

I was hoping to be able to launch the new website before I go on holiday at the end of next week, but I just don’t think I am going to be ready. Most of the products are in place, but I am still tweaking the designs, and I guess it would be better to wait until it is working properly. However, I am going to ask some of my customers if they would product test it before it goes live – a) to see if there are any obvious bugs, and b) to get their feedback. Fingers crossed everyone is going to love it <3
